Year 2 has been working super hard this term and parents should be very proud of their children. We have managed to complete all our SATs and Teacher Assessments and the children have remained focused and tried their best.
In other news we have been learning about countries around the world, and have virtually visited all the continents with Buddy Bee. We found out lots of information ranging from the animals of the Arctic to the foods of France.
In Science we have been learning about plants and what are the best conditions for growth. We have also been thinking about what we could grow in an allotment.
We are very excited about our upcoming trip to Kingsbury Water Park on the 6th July. Fingers crossed for the weather so we can enjoy the great outdoors, pond dipping and playing on the park.
In Literacy we have particularly enjoyed our Author study about Anthony Browne and reading a range of his books and using them as inspiration for our own work. This would be a good author to read over the summer as Year 3 look at his work too.
Please continue to read regularly at home to try to get up to 5 on the ladder.
Meet the new teacher is on Thursday 29th June. Good Luck we know you’ll be brilliant.
