Year 6 have a very busy final term here at Greenacres. The term starts with the focus being on final assessments in Maths, Grammar and Reading as well as continuing to work towards a collection of writing in different genres which will form the basis of a writing level.
Our topic of “Lights, Camera, Action!” continues as we focus on how films are made. There will be a particular emphasis on Harry Potter with a trip to the Warner Brothers Studio in Watford. We will be learning about films, the treatment of film stars and how film-makers think carefully about costumes and set design.
As we have been rehearsing so hard, we look forward to performing our version of Matilda in front of a live audience in June.
At the end of this term, the Year 6 pupils will be celebrating together and sharing their memories of primary school before saying goodbye to everyone and moving onto high school.
