The children both at home and at school have been doing some great work so far this term. Thank you to all the parents who have been at home helping their children. We have been delighted to see what everyone is doing and really appreciated your support!
This half term the children have been making their robot projects. We have seen some brilliant models, PowerPoints and pieces of lovely writing. Well done everyone!
In Literacy, the children have been writing magical stories about goblins and then they have moved onto a different genre. They have read a story about some spies are now planning their stories about a mission. We have been continuing to learn our spellings and complete grammar challenges too.
In Numeracy, the children have been working on multiplication and division and have then moved onto work about area and perimeter. We are looking forward to decimals and fractions next.
After half term, we are looking forward to our topic about Africa, We are going to find out about the continent and some of the countries and climates within the continent. We will research African animals and do some Art linking to this topic.
Please endeavour to get your child to read at least 5 times per week at home. The children need to continue to read a range of genres and write their book reviews to earn their Bronze, Silver or Gold Reading Bands.
Please remember, to keep practising times tables and logging into ttsrockstars to do this. We are working towards all children knowing their times tables to 12×12 with a 6 second recall by the summer term.
