Year 4 Summer Blog

Posted in Year 4 on April 27, 2022

We are ready to plunge into our water topic and are have a splashing time! We are learning about the Water Cycle and will be writing explanations during our Literacy lessons. Also linked to this is our Science where we are continuing to find out about solids, liquids and gases.  During topic, we will study the journey of a river from source to mouth and how the river is eroded along its journey.  We will be studying canal boats to get inspiration for our canal sewing projects.

Outside of our water topic, we are looking forward to writing stories in the style of Horrid Henry, learning about living things and their habitats in our final Science topic, studying the artist Monet and producing our own artwork in his style.

We are looking forward to our trip to Conkers where we will take part in bush craft style activities.

Please continue to read at least 5 times a week, practise spellings (sent home on a Tuesday) and learn times tables.

Mrs Jones and Miss McLaughlin.
