This term in Year 6, we will be completing a geography-based topic comparing and contrasting the Lake District, Poland and Jamaica. Pupils will be looking at similarities and differences of physical and human features and using map skills to locate these areas of the world.
In history, we will be finding out about Windrush generation and how this migration changed Britain for the better. We will study the lives and influence of Sam King and Norma Best.
During out art sessions, we will be creating 3D images from 2D drawings. We are looking forward to creating an art exhibition for people to enjoy!
We are also looking forward to our residential trip to Chasewater at the end of this half term where we will be practising new skills through a variety of outdoor pursuits. Alongside this there will be a focus on the development of reading, grammar and writing skills as well as maths as we continue to work towards the expected Year 6 standard and beyond.
