Year 6 have a very busy final term at primary school. It starts with the focus being on final assessments in Maths, Grammar and Reading as well as continuing to work towards a collection of writing in different genres which will form the basis of a writing level.
Our topic of “Lights, Camera, Action!” continues as we focus on how films are made. There will be a particular emphasis on Harry Potter with a trip to the Warner Bros Studio in Watford. We will be learning about films, the treatment of film stars and how film-makers think carefully about costumes and set design.
We will be continuing our learning about World War 2 and finding out what life was like in our local area during the 1940s.
At the end of this term, the Year 6 pupils will be celebrating together and sharing their memories of primary school before saying goodbye to everyone and moving on to high school.
